Meanwhile the Whitsundays is home to 74 islands also in the very heart of the Great Barrier Reef where you can go snorkelling, scuba diving or even take an introductory scuba experience.
Central Queensland
On the central part of the Great Barrier Reef you can scuba dive and snorkel with Manta Rays, Leopard sharks and many more exciting marine life amongst coral out-crops, and spectacular bommies. Then relax on some of the most beautiful beaches on earth.
Brisbane & Sunshine Coast Area
Close to Brisbane lie the world’s three largest sand islands, K'gari (formerly Fraser Island), North Stradbroke Island and Moreton Islands. These islands offer fantastic snorkelling and scuba diving along with off-road adventures, immersive nature-based experiences, surfing, and fishing.
