Snorkelling, Scuba and Technical Diving training conducted in Queensland is the safest on the planet largely due to the high level of responsibility exhibited by the internationally recognised training agencies and in turn, the dive schools they authorise and monitor through ‘quality control’ mechanisms. Additionally, the existence of Queensland’s Government Workplace Health and Safety Queensland Code of Practice (Recreational Diving, Recreational Technical Diving and Snorkelling) also ensures all snorkelling, scuba and technical diving activities are carried out under best practice.

Several Dive Queensland members also offer first aid training either through their diver training agency or have their own government Recognised Training Organisation (RTO).
